Dimensional Double Shift Arrives in Solo Mode on Samsung Galaxy XR, Debuting Amid Its Largest Update Yet
Dimensional Double Shift has just landed on Samsung Galaxy XR, timed to coincide with what its developers call the game’s biggest update to date. After an early-access launch on Quest, the party game from the Job Simulator creators expands to Samsung’s XR platform, and now supports cross‑play between Meta Quest headsets and Galaxy XR devices.
In its Quest release, Dimensional Double Shift positioned itself as a cooperative party title in which players use hand tracking to juggle food orders and repair vehicles for residents across a rotating cast of dimensions. The new Galaxy XR rollout follows October’s New Joysey DLC and broadens access to a wider audience while preserving the cross‑platform multiplayer experience.
The update also introduces a free Winter Update that doubles as a substantial feature brew. The notable addition is Solo Practice Experiment, a dedicated single‑player mode designed to teach and reinforce the game’s fundamental mechanics without requiring others to join in. This marks the first time the title supports solo play alongside its co‑op roots.
Additionally, the update rolls out a rotating lineup of weekend Boosters. The kickoff Boosters includes a temporary “Midas Touch” modifier that turns any object you interact with into gold. Other boosts modify on‑screen capabilities in playful ways, such as enabling a flamethrower in your mouth or extending your reach with longer arms, among other quirky effects.
From December 18 through January 5, the game will host the “Snow-vertime Fest,” a festive in‑game hub featuring winter-themed avatar cosmetics and new interactive interactions to celebrate the season.
Dimensional Double Shift remains available in early access on both Meta Quest and Samsung Galaxy XR platforms, with cross‑platform compatibility to keep players connected across devices.
